NAAC 2001
August 31 - September 3
Louisville, Kentucky

The Democratic National Convention is coming to Los Angeles in August 2000. The August Collective is planning a trans-continental gathering of anarchists in the days before the DNC.

The primary focus of the NAAC will be the intellectual, philosophical, theoretical, technical and spiritual advancement of anarchism as a political theory/ideology/practice, and the analysis and evaluation of the current state of anarchism as a viable political theory and practice. We will also have events for the merely curious non-anarchist.

The first three days of the NAAC (August 11-13) will include speakers, workshops, films, study groups, networking, plays, and film shows. The last four days (August 14-17) coincide with the Democratic National Convention which is being held in Los Angeles, but no time is designated during the first three days of the conference to prepare for these protests.
(There will be no bands performing at the conference.)
